PSMLA News Update: Conference Registration; Student Opportunities

PSMLA Fall Conference Registration - Now Open!

PSMLA looks forward to welcoming you to our fall conference, held this October 5-7 at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg-Hershey.

Registration includes access to the exhibit hall, a continental breakfast and buffet lunch on both conference days, as well as a wine and cheese reception in addition to over 50 sessions.  You will also find a description of our pre-conference workshop "Connecting the Standards: Approaching Communities, Culture, and Communication through Everyday Activities" as well as the link for making your hotel reservation.  Further details will be posted throughout the summer.


Student Recognition Certificates

Are you honoring world language students at upcoming awards celebrations?  Consider presenting your outstanding students with a Student Recognition Certificate from PSMLA.  See http://www.psmla.net/psmla-student-recognition-awards for details.  Hurry!  The last day to order is May 15.  Payment must be received before certificates can be sent to you.


Summer Language Immersion Camps

Millersville University will host its annual summer language camps for high school students from July 30 – August 5, 2017.  The week-long language immersion camps in French, German and Spanish are taught by certified high school teachers on the Millersville University campus using the facilities and the resources of the Foreign Languages department.

Educators Rising

Starting this year ACTFL will be partnering with Educators Rising, an organization dedicated to mentoring and fostering teachers of the next generation. Educators Rising begins working with young people in high school and continues to support them throughout their post-secondary studies.
